Prostate Cancer Card

I have a new Cricut cartridge, it is Stand and Salute. One really nice cut is the ribbon. Yesterday I cut out a blue ribbon, as September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Since Ray has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer it is important to get the word out to other families so that they can protect their loved ones!

Happy Birthday Monica 2009

Ray works at the VA Clinic in Whitehall, Ohio and a young girl and her grandfather came in the other day she told Ray that her birthday was August 15th. He told her that his was August 30th, she said she will make him cupcakes for his birthday. So he asked me to make her a birthday card, and so this is what I did today.

New cards 2009

Sadly the card that I made for this adorable little girl passed away October 10, 2009.  As a she was diagnosed with a disease called SMA.  She was 9 months old.  The pictures that were taken of her she was a very happy baby and never would show her mommy the pain she felt.

Our Cancer News

On June 15th my husband had a biopsy and we thought that the results would come back good, like they did 2 years ago. But the doctor called my husband on Thursday and said he need to discuss the results with the both of us and made an appointment for Friday. My husband did not want to tell me to much as I would worry even more! We get to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. The Urologist calls us back to the room and tells us the bad news. He has prostate cancer, his Gleason score is 9. The lover the score the better! The doctor also said that he is in T1-T2 stage, but so far the cancer is only in the prostate gland. They will be doing more tests to see if the cancer has spread to any part of his body. Which we are PRAYING that it has not spread! He has chosen surgery to remove the prostate gland. We are planning to have the surgery the first week of August. I have set up a Twitter account to try and keep family and friends updated with his progress!
And our journey begins....... Thanks in advance for all your prayers Linda http://twitter.com/CancerNews09

More Post it Note pads and Mini Books

For this one I used a velvet ribbon and some Victorian buttons, a few glue dots. I aslo used the Distressed Ink Lavander on the background. Add a mini gel pen and makes a cute gift.
This still needs a little work on it. It doesn't have the pop factor yet..... maybe a little glitter around some of the stars. Well I did not need to add anythign else to this one Noah (grandson) loved it and took it h ome with him!
And Snoopy's cover is made out of a placemat for dog's.

Happy Birthday Roman

My mom babysits for an police officers son who likes cars, he will be 2 in July. Hobby Lobby had the car background paper and the police car is a coloring page that I pieced together today. Paper piecing is so time consuming. I need the Disney Cars cartridge!
I will make the envelope tomorrow! I have some car stamps that I can decorate the outside of it.
